MaiL09 was ranked sixth in HLTV’s latest prospects report
Metizport have announced that Liam “MaiL09” Tügel has been reinstated to the starting lineup as a replacement for Isak “isak” Fahlén, who recently decided to take a break from competition.
MaiL09 returned to Metizport in June after a successful six-month loan at Alliance. The Swedish organization attempted to extend the loan and even put together “the highest trade offer” in its history to sign the 17-year-old permanently, but could not reach an agreement with Metizport.
MaiL09 was benched by Metizport at the end of 2025 after the team “experienced challenges finding the optimal role” for the player. He went on to average a 1.19 rating while playing for Alliance, who were just 10 Valve points short of qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major.

In a statement, the Norwegian organization noted that MaiL09 will have a different role now and that “structural changes are already well on the way to properly integrate and give the necessary space” to the player.
“We’re happy to welcome Liam back into the team,” Metizport sports director Morten “zEVES” Vollan Christensen said in a statement,
“We have been through a longer transition period, but we’re now in a much better place to utilize his full potential. The ambitions for the upcoming season are high, and with Liam in the lineup, we have that game-changing quality that’s going to be important for us going forward.”
The new Metizport roster will make its first appearance at Stake Pulse Beat I, a $60,000 tournament in Stockholm that will also feature teams like Liquid, fnatic, Johnny Speeds and Betclic.
