Max Holloway has issued a chilling warning for his upcoming opponent, Conor McGregor. Holloway and McGregor are set to run it back next weekend in the main event of UFC 329, and “Blessed” has made it clear that he wants to drag the Irishman into deep waters and drown him come fight night.

In a recent video, while giving his prediction for the McGregor fight, Holloway quipped:

“Mystic Max has arrived. He has taken my ‘it is what it is.’ So I am taking Mystic Max… We drown him. We’ll give him an old Hawaii-style beating and drown him. We take him to deep waters.”

Conor McGregor, on the other hand, has promised a ‘complete demolition of Max Holloway in the rematch and a spectacular finish’ at UFC 329 to announce his arrival after five long years of waiting.

Conor McGregor predicts a complete demolition of Max Holloway,

“It’s gonna be a demolotion. It’s gonna be an absolute demolition. I know the damage he’s taken. I know I will just have to touch him. And after that, it will be clinical.”

While competing at welterweight is unfamiliar territory for Max Holloway, he remains confident in his abilities. Previously, the 34-year-old said:

“Weight is just a number. Real gladiators back in the day didn’t walk around with a scale. You show up, you fight. I’m a fighter, that’s what I do. Open weight class, whatever weight class. I’m glad I get to share the octagon with Conor.”

Conor McGregor’s latest warning to Max Holloway

“The Notorious” has also issued a fresh warning to Max Holloway. Earlier today, during an interview with Oscar Willis, the Dubliner said:

“I fought against Max many years ago, and I look forward to my improvements on it. Danger will be everywhere inside the Octagon for Max… I’ll be out with my paintbrush, you know, ready to put on my masterpiece.”

The 2013 featherweight outing between Holloway and McGregor did not go the former’s way. McGregor found his range early, dictated the pace and landed a variety of strikes to puzzle the Hawaiian fighter. And after McGregor damaged his ACL during the bout, he chose to rely on his wrestling and maintained top control for most of the remaining minutes to win by unanimous decision.

Now, 13 years later, the former UFC double champ does not see any major improvements in “Blessed.” He says the former BMF champ will never be on his level, and on July 11, he will once more be “SON Max Holloway” to prove to the world that they are on different levels.
