Jannik Sinner crashed out of the French Open on Thursday after struggling with the tough conditions at Roland Garros.
The world number one, who entered the tournament as the overwhelming favourite, fell to Juan Manuel Cerundolo in five sets.
Sinner led the Argentine by two sets to love in the match and was on the verge of cruising through to round three, but began to struggle physically at 5-1 in the third.

He took a medical timeout, but continued to struggle when returning, and eventually lost the match, 3-6, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1, 6-1.
While Sinner felt the effects of the blistering heat, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka suggested she is enjoying it.

Osaka booked her place in the third round of Roland Garros by beating Donna Vekic in straight sets.
When asked about the heat in her post-match press conference, the Japanese star said: “Honestly, I use the ice towel, but I had the habit of using the ice towel the first day.
“I don’t think it was as hot as the first match that I played but I kind of like it. I kind of want them to turn it up a little bit!

Osaka will take on 18-year-old Iva Jovic for the first time in her career in the next round.

Osaka has yet to drop a set so far in her campaign at Roland Garros, with wins over Laura Siegemund and Vekic.
She has now matched her career-best finish at the tournament, having made the third round three times before.
Her last trip to the third round came in 2019, when she lost in straight sets to Katerina Siniakova.
Osaka will now have the chance to reach the fourth round of Roland Garros for the first time ever.
She’ll have to battle past Jovic, however, who is also yet to drop a set in the French capital.
