In the games themselves, FaZe found themselves on the wrong end of an Felipe “insani” Yuji masterclass on Ancient, the star rifler shrugging off recent transfer rumours to post over 110 ADR in a 1.65-rated display.


Ninjas in Pyjamas meanwhile put up a miserable performance against Alliance on the same map, veteran Simon “twist” Eliasson putting Ninjas in Pyjamas to the sword in impressive fashion.


The two European squads are struggling in their first tournament following recent changes to their lineups, and will need to see significant improvements if they are to keep their tournament campaigns alive in China.
Elsewhere in the event surprise packages EYEBALLERS and Nemesis both put themselves within a single win of playoff qualification, taking down 3DMAX and B8 respectively, whilst TYLOO also progressed to the 2-0 pool by handing out a thrashing to PARIVISION.
