The yellow card shown to France winger Michael Olise in the World Cup last-16 match against Paraguay will stand, coach Didier Deschamps said on Wednesday after an appeal failed.
Deschamps told a news conference before Thursday’s quarter-final against Morocco near Boston that he had received a corresponding notification from FIFA in the morning.

If Olise is booked again against the North Africans, he would be suspended for a possible semi-final.
