PFL Austin took place on July 18, live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. In the main event, the last Bellator middleweight world champion Johnny Eblen locked horns with Impa Kasanganay for the interim PFL Middleweight World Championship.
The last time these two combatants had locked horns was in 2024 at PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions, when Eblen won by split decision.
In the PFL Austin main event, Eblen was originally slated to run it back with Costello van Steenis for the PFL middleweight strap. But the 185-pound kingpin got injured, after which Kasanganay stepped in to fight “Pressure” for the interim title.
