Today’s UFC 333 event was headlined by a men’s featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev.
Volkanovski (29-4 MMA) had entered the contest on a two-fight winning streak, this after scoring back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Diego Lopes in his most recent Octagon appearances. Prior to those triumphs, ‘The Great’ had suffered back-to-back knockout losses to Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev respectively.
Meanwhile, Movsar Evloev (20-1 MMA) had entered his first career UFC title fight boasting a perfect record of 20-0. The Russian standout most previously competed this past March, where he earned a majority decision win over Lerone Murphy.
Tonight’s UFC 333 main event proved to be another standout performance from Alexander Volkanovski. Despite Movsar Evloev getting off to a decent start, ‘The Great’ was able to stun the Russian midway through the second round and proceeded to finish the challenger with a big combination and then some heavy ground and pound (see that here).

10-9 Evloev in a very close R1
Volk’s reflexes looking a tad slower than usual, which could be the difference-maker in a game of inches like this
