Team Europe have been crowned the Laver Cup champion for a sixth time.
The team in blue, who won four titles in a row between 2017 and 2021, clinched the 2026 crown following Alexander Zverev’s straight sets victory over American Learner Tien.
The result has extended Team Europe’s lead over Team World to 6-3 in tournament wins.
Roger Federer and Rod Laver – two icons of the sport – have since posted congratulatory messages.
Roger Federer reacts to Team Europe’s Laver Cup triumph
Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, was the driving force behind the Laver Cup’s creation in 2017.

The Swiss legend played his last-ever professional match at the 2022 Laver Cup, playing alongside Rafael Nadal in doubles.
“Amazing weekend of tennis at the Laver Cup,” Federer said in a post on his Instagram story. “Congratulations to Team Europe on the victory.”
Rod Laver, an 11-time major singles champion and the Laver Cup’s namesake, also posted a message on social media following the tournament’s conclusion.
“Congratulations to Team Europe for winning another Laver Cup, a tremendous effort after three days of intense pressure from Team World,” Laver said on X following Team Europe’s 13-5 victory.

“Thanks for having me, London. Until next time.”
Following the Laver Cup’s conclusion, those who competed in the event will now turn their attention to the Asian swing.
Two significant ATP events are set to take place over the next week or so: the China Open and Japan Open.
Carlos Alcaraz headlines the Japan Open. The Spaniard, who won the event in 2025, has been handed a tough draw and will play US Open quarter-finalist Alex Michelsen in the first round.
Alexander Zverev, the US Open champion, is the top seed in Beijing. He will play Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie in the first round.
Which player do you think will win the men’s singles title at the China Open this year?
Jannik Sinner, the world number one, is still recovering from a knee injury.
Can Team World win the 2027 Laver Cup?
The short answer is yes.
However, with the top three players in the world being from Europe – Sinner, Zverev and Alcaraz – winning the event will be an almighty task.
That being said, Team World defied the odds in 2025.
Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz carried Team World on their backs at the 2025 event: Fritz defeated Alcaraz and Zverev, while De Minaur triumphed against Zverev and Jakub Mensik.
These results helped Team World secure a 15-9 victory: their third title since 2017.
