Lawler, 44, has not competed since his retirement fight at UFC 290 back in June 2023. His wrestling credentials are limited to high school, where the Iowan achieved All-State honors at Bettendorf High. As for Chimaev, 32, he’s a three-time Swedish Freestyle National Champion.
