Johnny Speeds has announced that after 528 days on the team, Anton “Sapec” Palmgren will no longer be a Speedster, as he has decided not to renew his contract with the organization.
Sapec now puts Johnny Speeds in his former teams alongside the likes of EYEBALLERS and Metizport after a year and a half of playing mostly local and tier two VRS events, including a victory at Svenska Elitserien Spring 2025 Finals and top three finishes at events like Level Up LUND! 2025, Elisa Nordic Championship 2025, and Parken Challenger Championship Season 2.
The news doesn’t come as a complete surprise, however, as Johnny Speeds had already been playing with Teodor “titulus” Krizbai Obradovic since mid-May.
“My time with Johnny Speeds has come to an end after 1.5 years,” Sapec posted on X. “[It] was a fun ride with a lot of ups and downs; felt it was time to move on.” Sapec is now joining free agency and looking for new opportunities.
