Sashi owner Claus “D0KT0R3N” Nielsen has told Dust2.dk that his organization has parted ways with Tynan “TjP” Purtell and Jordan “Hatz” Bajic, confirming an October 20 report by DFRAG.
The Australian duo joined Sashi at the beginning of the month, forming an Asian core alongside Anton “Anlelele” Huynh, a Vietnamese citizen. The Danish organization made no secret that the move was aimed at increasing the team’s qualification chances for the Singapore Major.
Sashi also picked up New Zealander AWPer Michael “chelleos” Hawkins but ended up dropping him before he even debuted for the team.
Sashi’s Major hopes took a heavy hit when Valve introduced new rules on region-swapping, requiring a three-month wait before a change takes effect.

Valve adjust rules for VRS region swaps
The developer added that all teams that swapped regions ahead of the Singapore Major would be disqualified from the Major run, unless they were granted an exception. This was the case of BC.Game, who had recently entered the Asian VRS with the signing of Tyson “asap” Paterson.
With TjP and Hatz on the roster, Sashi crashed out of Stake Pulse Beat III in last place and DraculaN Season 7 in 17th-20th place.
“We had a mutual agreement, and we agreed on it now,” D0KT0R3N told Dust2.dk. “I got on well with Hatz and TjP, and I know they feel the same about me. They’re rock-solid guys.”
The Sashi chief insisted that poor results were not behind the decision to abandon the Asian project, pointing instead to a lack of clarity from Valve, which he claims has not replied to his latest messages.
“We wrote to Valve in several different emails,” he explained. “They replied after three days, when I asked whether we could have a call. They replied that they didn’t have time for a call, but that we could write an email. Now almost two weeks have passed without a reply.
“BC.Game and Valve sorted it out in one day, so it certainly sounds like Valve is ignoring us. I feel bad about it, because I think it should be the same for everyone. It should be in all sports. It’s preferential treatment, and that has no place in sport.
“In my world, it’s very frightening that one team can solve it right away and the other team simply doesn’t get an answer. Why? Then we don’t get a fair chance to build further either.”
This leaves Sashi with only two active players, Anlelele and Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss. The organization still has three players on the bench, including Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand, who played at Stake Pulse Beat III in and DraculaN Season 7 following chelleos’ dismissal.
“We have to go back to the drawing board and put together a plan for how the project should look going forward,” D0KT0R3N said.
Sashi are now:
Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss
Anton “Anlelele” Huynh
Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen (coach)
Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand (benched)
Casper “Cabbi” Jensen (benched)
Lukas “Beccie” Bauder Balcells (benched)
