“Some part of me was obviously upset”

AEW recently had their annual All In London pay-per-view in Wembley Stadium with an attendance of nearly 45,000+ fans. While the card featured several big stars from the company, a former World Champion was missing from the list. The star in question is none other than the Toxic Spider Thekla.

Thekla kickstarted the year as the AEW Women’s World Champion and defended the title against major names on several occasions. However, she abruptly lost the title to Willow Nightingale at Redemption and wasn’t even featured on the All In card. While she returned at the event and closely watched the Women’s title match, her absence was still felt by many fans. She spoke about missing All In during a recent interview with New York Post Sports.

“It was, again, about being a pro, you got to just take things the way they are. Be cool with whatever happens, and I try to get into a mindset where I didn’t wanna be greedy anyways because I’ve had a tremendous 2026. And a great 2025, too. Some part of me was obviously upset because it’s f*cking Wembley and it’s in front of almost 50,000 people in Europe, which I haven’t even remotely done. It would have been, obviously, the biggest gig of my life so far,” she said.

The Toxic Spider also stated that she was happy to see that fans were outraged after she wasn’t featured on the All In card.

“Also, I like that I’m still on the chase. I don’t like having anything in front of me that I got to follow up on. You also got to make them miss you. I was happy and almost touched to see that people were outraged that I wasn’t on the show. It’s actually better that way.” [H/T:WrestlePurists]

Thekla will face Willow Nightingale in an AEW Women’s World Championship #1 Contendership match

Willow Nightingale was the person who abruptly ended Thekla’s reign as AEW Women’s World Champion and took away her spot from the match at Wembley. At All In, Mercedes Moné defeated Willow to win the AEW Women’s World Championship. On the Dynamite after All In, Thekla confronted Moné and set her sights on regaining the title.

Since Moné injured her nose during her match against Willow at All In, she wasn’t cleared to compete at All Out. However, AEW announced a #1 Contender’s match between Willow Nightingale and Thekla. The winner will face Moné for the title at WrestleDream.

It will be interesting to see if Thekla will get her revenge by beating Willow.
