Gizmy is in talks to join 100 Thieves
100 Thieves are locked in talks with Monte over the transfer of Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen, multiple sources told HLTV.
If the move is completed, the British IGL will take up captaincy duties from Håvard “rain” Nygaard, who is expected to transition to a different role within the team. 100 Thieves is rain’s first long-term project as an IGL after he briefly captained G2 all the way back in 2015.
Gizmy joined Monte Gen, the Ukrainian organization’s academy squad, in November 2023 and alternated between the academy and main roster before earning a second promotion in January 2025, this time as IGL.
“I’ve reinvented myself as a player, and from now I will be leading the team alongside [then-coach] AiyvaN,” he wrote at the time. “Time to show some magic.”

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after young IGLs in the scene after an impressive season that culminated with Monte qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major.
The team made it through Stage 2 in the last round before going out of Stage 3 with a 1-3 record following a 0-2 loss to Aurora, a 2-1 win against PARIVISION, and 1-2 defeats at the hands of The MongolZ and eventual champions Falcons.
