Frances Tiafoe has just claimed the biggest title of his career after beating Taylor Fritz in the final of the Halle Open.
Tiafoe defeated fellow American Fritz in the final of the ATP 500 event, having won all three of his previous titles at ATP 250 level.
And with his 6-4, 6-4 victory in Germany, the 28-year-old also became the first American to win the Halle Open.
His superb run also included wins over Flavio Cobolli, Sho Shimabukuro, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Daniel Altmaier.
And Tiafoe has now received messages from two of his recent opponents following his successful run, much to his delight.

Coco Gauff and Iva Jovic react after Frances Tiafoe wins Halle title
Tiafoe himself has also taken to social media to celebrate his success, which has delighted many of his fellow players.
He posted on his Instagram in German: “Thank you Halle,” and his fellow ATP player Jakub Mensik responded: “Let’s go bro! So happy for you!”
Many American WTA stars also commented, with Coco Gauff writing: “Congrats,” and Iva Jovic saying: “Let’s go.”
Tiafoe has incidentally already made a significant move following his success, having decided to withdraw from Mallorca.
He was scheduled to play against fellow American Ethan Quinn at the ATP 250 event, but has pulled out because of a lower back issue.
Fritz meanwhile can also be very satisfied with his week in Halle despite falling short against Tiafoe, having knocked out the likes of Ben Shelton and French Open champion Alexander Zverev.
