The Brazilian coach takes on a new challenge just weeks after parting ways with RED Canids.
tge is BESTIA’s new head coach
BESTIA have announced that they have named Gustavo “tge” Motta the new head coach of their CS team, with Afonso “shaRpy” Bastos moving back to an assistant role with the Argentinian organization.
tge had been without a job since parting ways with RED Canids earlier in July, three months after the Brazilian organization benched its entire roster and made every player available for transfer.
During his time at the helm of RED Canids, the team notably played at the StarLadder Budapest Major and IEM Rio 2026. He previously coached 9z, whom he guided to a semifinal run at IEM Dallas 2024.
BESTIA, who held on to star player Tomas “tomaszin” Corna in the off-season after he was linked with Legacy, have endured a mixed start to the new season. Nicolás “buda” Kramer’s troops lost to Sharks in the semifinals of the South American qualifier for BLAST Open Porto and finished second to Imperial in the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
