Kawhi Leonard’s trade to the Toronto Raptors from the LA Clippers is complete.
One of the long-awaited trades in the NBA has been completed, with Kawhi Leonard’s trade to the Toronto Raptors confirmed.
Leonard’s trade had previously been delayed pending the outcome of the investigation into the LA Clippers. A severe punishment was dealt out to the Clippers.

Brandon Ingram was traded to the Raptors in 2025. He defied his previous injury-hit spell at the Pelicans to start 77 games in Toronto.

Kawhi Leonard is not suspended and is eligible to start the season for the Toronto Raptors. He slots in to help complete a strong starting five.

RJ Barrett scored 19.3 points per game last season and Scottie Barnes 18.1 ppg. Kawhi Leonard scored 27.9 ppg for the Clippers, which is an upgrade on Ingram’s 21.5 ppg.
Leonard started 65 regular season games, one of only two times he exceeded 60 for the Clippers.
The Raptors finished fifth in the Eastern Conference last season.
Raptors number assigned
Kawhi Leonard has been assigned the number two jersey, which was worn by Jonathan Mogbo last season.
It is the same number Leonard previously wore in Toronto when he led the team to the championship in 2019.
