While the chance to join a club in one of Europe’s big-five leagues ends on September 1, there are still options available for players and selling clubs after that date.
For example, the deadline in Scotland is not until 5pm BST (midday ET, 9am PT) on September 3.
There are various later deadlines in other parts of Europe including a September 4 closing date for clubs in Turkey.
And then there is MLS, where the ‘secondary window’ remains open until September 2, and the Saudi Pro League, where clubs have until October 12 to sign players.
