A set of twin siblings has married another set of twins with exactly the same name, at a twin-themed wedding.
Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye are twin brothers that have managed to make a career out of their identicalness. Based in the Ibadan region of Nigeria, an area famous for an unusually high number of twin births, they run Twins World Creations and Twin Tourism, companies celebrating the region’s twins.
They met twin sisters Taiwo and Kehinde Adediran through a university professor who knew both sets of twins and suggested they should get together. The sisters did not want to become romantically involved at first, but changed their minds when they met again years later.
Matching dresses, suits, twin page boys and twin flower girls
The Adediran sisters were walked down the aisle at the same time by their father. They were dressed in matching bridal dresses, while the brothers were dressed in matching suits and bowties. The wedding also had a promotional hashtag: “#TwinningInLove2026.”
The guests also comprised many different sets of twins, while the page boys and flower girls were twins too. The wedding portraits were carefully choreographed in order to give guests the chance to compare the sets of siblings.
Their identical names come from Yoruba tradition regarding twins. It is common, irrespective of gender, for the first-born twin to be named Taiwo, and the second to be called Kehinde.
As per RTL Today, after the ceremony, Taiwo Oguntoye spoke of his desire to marry at the same time as his brother. “We have always wanted to marry together and to marry twins,” he said. “And by the special grace of God, it happened. I am so happy to marry the love of my life!”
