Jee’s excellent series helped ensure smooth sailing for his team
TYLOO have secured a berth in ESL Pro League Season 24 by virtue of winning ESL Challenger League Finals, taking SemperFi down comfortably in the grand final to book their place.
The victory was an important one for TYLOO as it guarantees an international event appearance for next season. TYLOO are currently hovering around the top 30 in the VRS and need a decent run at the Major if they are to bolster their position for invites for next season, a raft of which will go out in early June and July.
TYLOO were deserved winners in this grand final with each map going exactly the same way, a close first half giving way to TYLOO dominating the end of the game. Inferno went to the Chinese side after a dominant defense, Mirage thanks to a 2.54-rated Dongkai “Jee” Ji 30-bomb, and Nuke with a Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang-powered offense followed by another impactful Jee defensive showing.
As a result TYLOO become the first side to guarantee their attendance in Katowice, Poland for ESL Pro League Season 24, with 15 teams yet to join them. 12 of those will be invited via the global VRS, whilst the remaining three spots will go to the winners of the ESL Challenger League Finals in Europe, North America and South America.
