Valkyrae has called out viewers demanding she play GTA RP instead of Counter-Strike 2, before deleting the stream VOD.
The streamer is currently trying to hit a 16,000 rating in CS2 Premier matchmaking as part of a bet, but some of her audience has been pushing her to return to GTA.
Valkyrae hits out at GTA demands on stream
During a CS2 session, Valkyrae vented about the comments she’d been getting in chat.
“Some of you people are so rude. And it’s like, I get it. You only care about GTA. I get it,” she said. “But like, I have to hit this stupid goal.”
She added that one comment in particular got to her after a run of long streams. “It’s so insane how I did so many 24-hour streams in the past two months, and I see one comment that’s like, ‘Dude, she doesn’t care about her community because she’s grinding CS off stream.’”
“It does not matter how much I stream,” she continued. “I get why Leslie doesn’t play anymore.”
Valkyrae explains why she deleted the VOD
After the stream, Valkyrae explained in her Discord server why she had taken the VOD down.
“I deleted the VOD because it was just sad vibes. I get emotional and then seeing that about 30 of you downvoted my schedule update because of no GTA? Idk man, it’s toxic everywhere I go,” she wrote.
In further messages shared by ValkyraeUpdates, she said she would stop trying to set a schedule. “I feel like this 16k bet is impossible. And I’m getting yelled at for not playing GTA and I feel like I don’t have time to complete this challenge.”
Valkyrae said it was partly on her for saying she wanted to play GTA and not doing so, adding that she likes that fans care. “But tbh CS is making me so sad, and the combo with people yelling at me is just ughh lol.”
