Valve has shipped a new Counter-Strike update in which it released a new series of IEM Cologne Major stickers, which have an altered square-shaped design and display a team’s final standing at the tournament.
In unveiling the new series, the developers also lowered the price, acknowledging the original dynamic pricing system “didn’t produce reasonable prices.”
The previous system saw prices for some of the most sought-after items soar to over 150,000 tokens (~$1,500) in the game shop. Under the new system, the highest-valued stickers are worth 6,000 tokens (~$60) as of the time of writing the article.
This follows an HLTV report in which several teams revealed Cologne Major sticker sales had seen a “disastrous” drop, in one case down to 20% of team earnings from a roughly equivalent StarLadder Budapest Major capsule.

That number is bound to change with the release of the new series, which will be on sale until September 29, the developers announced.
