Tony Rizzo lashed out at former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel for hating the franchise and hoping the Browns would go winless every season. The Cleveland sports radio personality called out the former first-round pick’s animosity toward the city and its fans.
During the Monday episode of “the Tony Rizzo Show,” Rizzo didn’t mince words about Manziel’s tenure in Cleveland.
Thanks for the submission!
“Johnny, bro, what did anyone do for you except root for you to win and when it went south, that’s how it goes. But did someone hurt him? Is he a jilted lover?

“Is there some sort, did I miss, was there an incident where somebody attacked him? So why the hate? Why did they hate for the team that drafted you? Why?”

Rizzo’s co-host backed him on the statement. He said that Manziel probably thinks that the Browns didn’t put him in a position to win. But he claimed it had more to do with the QB’s lack of professional work ethic, pointing out that Manziel would leave after a Monday practice to party.
Manziel was drafted by the Browns at No. 22 overall in 2014. He played just 15 games for the franchise in two years, securing a 2-6 record in eight starts. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner finished his NFL career with just 1,675 passing yards and seven touchdowns.

Browns warned against repeating Johnny Manziel mistake amid Shedeur Sanders buzz
As the Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson fight for the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback role, former Browns QB Johnny Manziel has become part of the conversation as a cautionary example.
NFL analyst Anthony Lima weighed in on Sanders competing against Watson while speaking on “92.3 The Fan” earlier this month.
“I do wanna be careful because I do remember people talking about the aura with Johnny Football, and some of the young players on the team were excited because Johnny was box office,” Lima said.
“Like Johnny was a Heisman Trophy winner and he commanded Saturdays on a big scale against some of the best competition.”
Manziel entered the NFL with massive expectations after winning the Heisman Trophy and was selected by Cleveland in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. However, his tenure lasted just two seasons before the Browns parted ways with him.
