On July 3, 2026, Twitch streamer Nick “Lacy” slipped while making a bounce pass on the CORE house basketball court and subsequently re-tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his knee. After multiple doctor’s appointments, the streamer announced that he will have to undergo ACL reconstruction surgery. Coincidentally, Streamer University 2026 was right around the corner.
Lacy, along with the rest of CORE, was selected as a student and professor at Streamer University, and on July 15, the doors to the SU campus opened. Considering Lacy’s ACL injury, the streamer has to use a wheelchair to get around campus, with the only alternative being to hop on one leg.
That being said, the wheelchair has not hindered Nick from actively participating in campus activities and streaming. He even made it to basketball tryouts, dribbling the ball as he moved along in his wheelchair.
In another instance, he stole food from around campus and stacked it on top of himself and the chair. Notably, his haul included 20 boxes of chicken tenders, a case of water, boxes of cereal, sauce, bread, a Red Bull Fridge stocked with Red Bull, a microwave, and a picnic table.
The streamer was also arrested by SUPD, which is headed by Kai Cenat’s fellow AMP member, Roberto “Fanum.” During the arrest, members of SUPD holding up Nick walked away, leaving him without support, ultimately leading to him being on the floor, screaming:
“Hey! What the ****! This lame-*** ****ing campus! Where are my crutches?!.. Help! I’m handcuffed, gang!”

During the Streamer University 2026 season, Lacy viewers will receive an exclusive SU-style wheelchair badge for the tenure of the SU event, which concludes on July 20, 2026.
Regarding a timeline for recovery, Nick earlier told his fellow CORE member, Rani “Stable Ronaldo,” that it would take him nine months to recover post-surgery. The procedure is scheduled for August 4, 2026:
“August 4th is my surgery… (‘How much is it going to cost?’ asked Stable Ronaldo) probably [$70,000].”
In other news, influencer Aishah Sofey was left in tears after claiming that people are “being mean” towards her at Streamer University 2026.
