Popular Twitch streamer xQc responded to being banned on Twitch for watching FIFA World Cup content on the platform.
On June 22, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was hit with a Twitch ban, one of several he’s faced in his streaming career.
Despite the suspension, the French Canadian was live on Kick and addressed the incident, playing it off as no big deal.

According to xQc, Twitch issued him a strike in order to prevent further infractions during the same broadcast.
“It’s not like real real. The reason they ban is so your channel isn’t live, and you don’t make more infractions. If you made more infractions in the same stream, Twitch would have to ban you permanently,” he explained. “They stop the stream when you get a strike, so it’s a live strike.”
The Kick star proceeded to show the email he received from Twitch, alerting him that he was banned for watching FIFA World Cup content after receiving a copyright claim from someone by the name of Jonathan Schmitz.
“It really sucks because I waited as much as I could. Chat, it’s that one f**king clip!” he exclaimed, seemingly blaming his ban on a FIFA clip on X.
Twitch’s email states that Lengyel will be banned for 48 hours, so unless he has a successful appeal, don’t expect to see him on the Amazon-owned platform for a couple of days.
