UFC super prospect Damian Pinas will face Khamzat Chimaev’s protege on the final major card of the year at UFC 335.
Damian Pinas skyrocketed into one of the top up-and-coming stars in the UFC with three first-round knockouts to begin his promotional tenure. After earning a UFC contract via Dana White’s Contender Series last year, Pinas has made a quick ascent up the middleweight division.
Pinas was expected to get a swift boost in competition following his latest knockout win against Andrey Pulyaev at UFC 332. As he looks to remain undefeated in his UFC career, Pinas could be a fight or two away from making the case for a Top 15 spot.
In the meantime, Pinas will face former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev’s longtime training partner and protege on one of the biggest cards of the year.
Damian Pinas vs. Baisangur Susurkaev added to stacked UFC 335 card
As first reported by Russian MMA publication Vestnik MMA, Pinas will fight undefeated contender Baisangur Susurkaev at UFC 335 in December. The card will be the final major event of the year in Las Vegas.
Like Pinas, Susurkaev has made a big statement to kick off his UFC career with three stoppage wins. He most recently finished Djorden Santos in May, after defeating Eric McConico and Eric Nolan.
Susurkaev is also a DWCS alum after knocking out Murtaza Talha with a body kick in August 2025. Before his DWCS win, Susurkaev earned wins in Fury FC and ACA.
The Pinas vs. Susurkaev winner will likely push towards a Top 15 spot in the middleweight division.
UFC 335 will feature a BMF title fight between Charles Oliveira and Diego Lopes. Alex Pereira returns in the co-main event against heavyweight contender Sergei Pavlovich.
