Alliance are the Tipsport Conquest of Prague 2026 Finals champions after taking revenge on their EYEBALLERS countrymen in a three-map grand final.
The two Swedish teams beat Sashi and Walczaki in the tournament’s opening round, after which the Poles beat the Danes, and then Alliance, coming from an upper bracket defeat, won the consolidation final to secure a rematch against EYEBALLERS in the title bout.
The grand final kicked off on Alliance’s Inferno pick, as Nuke and Dust2, the two maps played in the upper bracket final, were banned during the veto, and the Swedish derby got off to a beautiful start as neither team could be pulled apart.
Both teams scored seven rounds on the defense, prompting the first map of the series to go to overtime, and it was only after 18 extra rounds that the two teams could be separated, with Sean “eraa” Knutsson and Arvid “avid” Åberg topping the board for Alliance in the 22-20 victory.
EYEBALLERS reestablished their dominance on Overpass with a resounding 13-5 victory in which Sebastian “dex” Samuelsson, with a +6.90% round swing and 1.80 rating, and Max “maxster” Jansson, with a +7.29% swing and 1.54 rating, led the way.
Ancient, the map that would have played host to the decider in the upper bracket final had it gone to three maps, did just that in the grand final, and the intensity returned as the two teams went to the half at 6-6, with Alliance having the advantage of moving to the CT side after the switch.
Alliance won a crucial pistol round on the CT side to take the lead and was up 9-6 after three, but EYEBALLERS struck back with two of their own to keep it close. The Simon “twist” Eliasson-led squad held on in their defense and didn’t let it get away, however, as youngster Liam “MaiL09” Tügel (#7 in our prospects ranking) led his team on the scoreboard in the final map with a 1.65 rating in the 13-9 victory to clinch the title.
maxster, with a 1.37 rating in the eight maps EYEBALLERS played in Prague, was the event’s highest-rated player, while Alliance’s eraa, with a 1.29 in 9 maps, was the second-highest rated player at the event.
