Not only have Spirit added another title to their resume by winning BLAST Open Porto, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets has racked up another HLTV MVP award with his continued excellence, beating out a stiff challenge from his teammate Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov to claim the accolade.
Spirit also got a taste of revenge in the final in Portugal, taking down a MOUZ side that beat them to the trophy at BLAST Bounty S2 earlier in the season. “It’s an amazing feeling because it was the last team that we have not beaten yet,” donk told HLTV after his team’s grand final success. “We’ve beaten all the top teams, the top seven I would say, and the only team that we didn’t beat was MOUZ.”
Despite back-to-back tournament successes, donk isn’t yet ready to say Spirit have hit top form under Boris “magixx” Vorobiev’s tutelage. “We will see how we will perform after such victories, at our next tournament in one month in Katowice, EPL. We will see how we perform there, and then I think we can discuss.”

How does it feel to get revenge on MOUZ?
Yeah, it’s an amazing feeling because it was the last team that we have not beaten yet. We’ve beaten all the top teams, the top seven I would say, and the only team that we didn’t beat was MOUZ.
Their victory over us at BLAST Bounty was well-deserved for them, they were grinding daily a lot and their new players are pretty sharp, so we didn’t feel ourselves frustrated after this loss. It was a deserved loss.

What do you think was the big difference between that series and today? Because today it was quite comfortable I think for your team.
Yeah, we were dominating all four maps. We just started to play much better, we’ve improved a lot as a team and basically that’s it. We were worse as a team back in those days, and we’ve improved a lot and fixed a lot of problems.

Do you think you are starting to get up to your top level with magixx as IGL now? Because it feels like you are a bit more consistent, and in this tournament you were very consistent.
We will see. The hardest part of being at the top is staying at the top, so we will see how we will perform after such victories, at our next tournament in one month in Katowice, EPL. We will see how we perform there, and then I think we can discuss.

I don’t know.
