Streamer Henry Poston has explained how he felt when a man “tried to kill” him during a broadcast in Rhode Island that took place in September.
Over the last few days, clips of Henry Poston’s Rhode Island stream have resurfaced on social media. The streamer, who describes himself as a “coffinboarder”, was travelling as he usually does – lying on a longboard while people passed him by.
However, one man on a bike – who introduced himself as Joshua – took an interest in Poston and wanted to show him “a spot” along the way. The streamer followed Joshua to the location between some trees, but as he tried to leave, the man repeatedly told Henry to turn off his camera.
As the streamer rolled away, he said he felt like he was “going to die,” but he also encountered Joshua again just a few minutes later.
“My ass is canal water? I don’t know what that means,” Poston said as the two met again. “That means I already killed you. You’re dead. You’re at the bottom of the river,” the man told him, but added that he “wouldn’t do that.”
Streamer breaks silence on now-viral encounter with man
As noted, the encounter happened in late September, and the streamer has stayed away from talking about it.
“I genuinely believed I was going to die that day. I ended up escaping approximately six miles straight to get away from him. Eventually, I made it back to my car, drove out of Rhode Island, and haven’t returned to the state since,” Poston said on November 4, opening up about the now-viral incident.
“What makes this story even more disturbing is that under two months earlier, another man had been found dead in the river at the exact same location where this man threatened to kill me and throw my body,” he added, noting that he isn’t claiming the two incidents are connected, but he felt “threatened.”
The streamer also spoke to Rhode Island Channel 10 news, adding that he reported the incident to local police as he believed the man had a knife.
“It was very chilling, and I’m honestly just blessed to still be here, honestly,” he added.
As per Channel 10, local police have not confirmed whether an investigation is underway and have had to pass the case on to another department.
