ESL Pro League Season 24 has its four semifinalists, and the quarter-finals offered about as little suspense as Counter-Strike can manage. Aurora, Vitality, MOUZ and Spirit all won 2-0, with not one losing team dragging its series to a deciding map, according to Hotspawn’s match recap.
That meant four clean exits for 1win, PARIVISION, FURIA and Falcons. The margins varied, but the headline stayed stubbornly consistent: the favorites moved on, and the underdogs never got a third map to turn the day into a proper scrap.
Four series, zero deciders
Aurora opened the quarter-final slate by beating 1win 13-9 and 13-8. The final scores gave 1win some respectability, but late rallies on both maps came after Aurora’s quick starts had already put the Russian side in control. A comeback looked possible on the scoreboard; the flow of the games told a less dramatic story.
Vitality were even more emphatic against PARIVISION. Their 13-2 win on the opponent’s map pick set the tone, with Shahar flameZ Shushan and William mezii Merriman both posting ratings above 2.00, before Vitality closed out the 2-0 series. The result continued a tournament run Hotspawn described as championship-winning form.
MOUZ took down FURIA 13-11 on Nuke, then made the second map much more one-sided with a 13-6 win on Inferno. For Gabriel FalleN Toledo, the loss came during what Hotspawn described as his final appearance at the Spodek Arena, with the veteran running short on chances to add another trophy before retirement.
Spirit completed the sweep against Falcons with a 13-10 result on Anubis after a dominant Mirage performance. Andrey tN1R Tatarinovich led the way on the opener, while Danil donk Kryshkovets chipped in 23 kills on Anubis. Falcons’ Finn karrigan Andersen finished the series with a 0.54 rating, as his team failed to build on the momentum of its Major win a few months earlier.
The semifinal field is set, but the routes were not equal
The quarter-final results leave four teams standing, with Vitality and MOUZ showing particularly commanding stretches on the day. MOUZ’s win is another step forward for a young roster that Hotspawn said has looked better with each match. FURIA, meanwhile, leave the tournament after a close first map but could not sustain that fight on Inferno.
For Falcons, the sweep is a sharp stop after their Major triumph; for Spirit, it is a place in the last four earned with a convincing finish against that same champion. The day’s results did not need a late-map thriller to make a point. Every favorite advanced, and the knockout stage now moves on without a single quarter-final upset.

Lineup availability has also been part of the Season 24 conversation, including Vitality’s reserve arrangements. The tournament’s wider audience is another piece of the Counter-Strike picture, with the IEM Cologne Major’s viewership record offering broader context for the scale of top-level events.
