A man from Florida has gone viral after finding a crab with a knife that ended up trying to attack both him and his dog.
When you’re out and about in Florida, there is a pretty good chance that you are going to come across an animal that could, if it wanted to, cause you some serious pain. There are snakes, alligators, and plenty of other species in between that can ruin your day.
In the case of Eduardo Alvarez, he has gone viral after his dog came across a pretty vicious crab. However, this wasn’t your run-of-the-mill crab that’s just looking to find its way back to the sand.
No, this crab was actually wielding a blade and took some swipes at both Alvarez and his dog, Summer, just near his home.
Florida man goes viral over crab with blade
Alvarez uploaded a video of the crab to his Instagram on September 16 and, as of writing, it is approaching close to 1 million likes and 20 million views. “Florida is getting out of hand,” he captioned the video.
In it, Alvarez can be heard asking his dog what it had found before zooming in on the panicked crab as his dog tried to sniff it.
“Are you kidding me right now? Summer, where the heck did you find a crab with a fricking shank?” he asked as he tried to shake the blade out of the crab’s claws. “Dude, what the hell? Summer, I don’t recommend messing with this. This is a gangster-ass crab.”
Alvarez eventually removed the crab from hiding underneath a door to his home.
As noted, the viral video has attracted plenty of attention, with viewers poking fun at the situation. “Mess with crabby, you get stabby,” one viewer commented.
“You can tell it’s Florida cuz he picked it up while laughing,” another said. “The signature krabby stabby formula,” another added.
Others asked if it was “staged” and the blade was planted for the crab to hold it, but Alvarez has yet to respond on that front.
