The New York Jets are fresh off a win against the Cleveland Browns. The 17-12 win was the five-straight outings that Geno Smith led the team out of the tunnel as the starting quarterback.
With a quarter of the 2026 NFL season now over, we can see what Smith and the Jets are on offense.

Overall, Smith’s play has improved the unit compared to last season.
However, we have two important stats that show the positives and negatives of Smith’s efforts so far this year.
Smith has been perfect in terms of his touchdown-to-interception ratio.
In five games played, Smith is up to six TDs and he has not thrown a single interception. That’s the first time in his career that Smith has not thrown an interception through five games.
Smith continues to have a fantastic completion percentage as well at 69.4 percent so far.
But with the good comes the bad…
The other side of the numbers show he is holding onto the ball for far too long. That’s making his offensive line look bad, too.
