“I’m waiting”- Huge Challenge issued to AEW star Jon Moxley

AEW star Jon Moxley received a massive challenge recently. He has been one of the most important assets for the Jacksonville-based promotion. He also created the Death Riders in 2024. In the past few years, the faction has dominated the entire locker room. The Ace is currently holding the Continental Championship. He tried to win the AEW World Championship from Will Ospreay at All Out last night, but couldn’t. He might be looking for new challenges in the future, and he has received a huge one.

Shingo Takagi, one of the most respected veterans in NJPW, has been a multi-time champion in the Japan-based promotion. He has been taking on the Death Riders members in the past few months. In August, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion defeated Wheeler Yuta. He even defeated one of the most powerful Death Riders, Claudio Castagnoli, at Destruction in Kobe recently. After the match, he called out the Ace.

Backstage at Destruction in Kobe, Shingo Takagi said that he had defeated Yuta and Castagnoli beforehand. The Dragon referred to the One True King as the boss of Bald Riders and challenged him to a match.

“I pinned Yuta at Ryogoku on August 16, and today, I pinned Claudio. Who’s next? Hey, boss of the BALD RIDERS… it’s time you showed yourself. Hey, M.O.X… Moxley! Stop acting so high and mighty. Come on out already. I’m waiting,” he said. [H/T – Drainmaker’s X]

Shingo Takagi isn’t the only one who wants to face Jon Moxley

While speaking on the BattleGround Podcast, Tommaso Ciampa said that he wants to face the Ace in a long program.

“If we’re talking not just a match, we’re talking like a program, six months. I mean top of the list is MJF. Second or I guess 1A and 1B would be Jon Moxley… It’s gonna be a blood feud per se or something that’s long lasting, Those are two guys that, on the mic, I would love to go battle with them. In the ring, I would love to battle with them. There’s a lot of layers to that story that can be told with both those guys,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Jon Moxley.
