Hometown heroes BIG will be hoping to keep their journey at their home Major alive
Stage 1 has almost concluded at IEM Cologne Major 2026, with six teams left fighting in the 2-2 bracket for the final three spots in the next stage.
Chinese fans are guaranteed to experience mixed emotions on the final day of Stage 1 as TYLOO and Lynn Vision have been matched against each other, TYLOO hoping to complete their run from 0-2 whilst Lynn Vision are coming off the back of a humbling defeat by MIBR.
Despite hailing from the same region the two Chinese squads have only played once this year, TYLOO securing a hard-fought 2-0 victory all the way back in February.
The second game of the day sees Liquid take on FlyQuest, a matchup that pits Justin “jks” Savage against his former organization and some of his former teammates. The two teams have yet to play each other in 2026, but Liquid won the two times the teams faced last year.
Hometown heroes BIG will close the day by facing off against NRG, the majority-German side having narrowly missed out on a Stage 2 berth at the hands of GamerLegion in their previous match whilst NRG were handily beaten by M80.
