Swerve Strickland is currently allied with the New Level (Kofi and Austin Creed). The trio is feuding with the AEW World Trios Champions, Hangman Adam Page & Brodido. The champions will put their title on the line against Swerve, Kofi, and Creed at Full Gear. However, the New Flavor has a different plan.
Swerve Strickland wants the upcoming Full Gear trios match to be Texas Death. Neither his teammates nor opponents want this. However, the former AEW World Champion is doing everything to get his way. He brutally attacked Bandido a few days back, making his intentions clear.
Kofi and Creed are seemingly overwhelmed by this rivalry. They were not expecting things to get this twisted so fast.
Kofi released a statement about the situation yesterday. He was regretting that he and his teammate took a wrong decision.
“Oh Lord…what have we gotten ourselves into?” wrote Kofi.
Swerve soon responded by taking a dig at WWE.
“AEW,” wrote the former World Champion.
The New Flavor probably meant that All Elite Wrestling is the real deal because, unlike WWE, matches are very brutal and unexpected. Furthermore, Texas Death is one of the most hardcore match stipulations ever. All three challengers were once under World Wrestling Entertainment’s banner.
Swerve Strickland said that he would love to win a Grammy, but wrestling comes first
In a recent interview with Billboard, Swerve Strickland talked about his music career. He said that he would love to win a Grammy someday. However, nothing beats his passion for professional wrestling.
“Wrestling has always been my true love. A grammy is more like, “Oh my God. How is this even possible?” That’s another dream, but that’s what this world title was for me. I’m the only person to come from 205 Live and be a world champion. I’m the only one. If you were ever to ask anyone from the 2017, 2018, 2019 class, and it would have been me out of all those guys? No way. Even me, no way. We don’t see it. A lot of people at that time didn’t see it,” he said.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the New Flavor.
