The Pokémon Company is officially teaming up with luxury property brand NOT A HOTEL and the team behind Pokémon Sleep to create a real-life, sleepable Poké Ball. Instead of a cramped metallic shell, this giant spherical pod is being built as a cozy, high-end sanctuary nestled right in the lush forests of Hokkaido, Japan.
A Luxury Ball Come to Life
Rather than a standard hotel room with a few posters taped to the wall, this project drops an oversized, iconic red-and-white sphere directly into the countryside.
The design takes inspiration from the lore that Poké Balls are actually comfy, peaceful spaces designed for rest and recovery. The pod features a massive circular bed built to fit two people, a discreet entrance at the back, and a large viewing window that lets guests gaze out into the Hokkaido woodland. It feels far more like a real-world Luxury Ball than a basic starter item.
How Do You Get a Stay Inside?
You cannot simply log onto a booking site and reserve a weekend. Because this is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind structure, stays are being offered through a special campaign system.
Only selected winners will get the opportunity to spend a night inside the Poké Ball, making it an extremely rare experience. The exact wilderness location in Hokkaido and the full details on how to enter the stay campaign are being kept under wraps until September 15, when the official application process drops through Pokémon Sleep.
