A popular former WWE United States Champion has just made a bold statement tonight on AEW Dynamite. He has turned babyface, and is now feuding with his former stable.

At Forbidden Door last weekend, Andrade El Idolo teamed up with MJF and some members of the Don Callis Family to take on Team Mark Briscoe. This was utter chaos, and featured several hardcore spots. There came a point in this match where Friedman and Andrade were the last two standing, and they had a chance to put a match away.

But they continued to clash, and this led the luchador to making a potential career-altering decision. He turned on MJF, and his stablemates. This cost them the match and helped Team Briscoe come away with a win.

Earlier tonight on AEW Dynamite, the former WWE Superstar came out for a brief interview with Tony Schiavone. He revealed that he was done with the Don Callis Family, and that he was going after the Salt of the Earth and his AEW world title. But as he was talking, he was blindsided by some of his former stablemates.

Accompanied by Callis himself, Jake Doyle, Kevin Knight, Brian Cage, and Lance Archer launched a brutal attack on the luchador, punishing him for turning on the family.

This does not come as a surprise as Don Callis doesn’t take betrayals like this lightly. It is safe to say that Andrade has a hit on him, and one that the family will never forget. He becomes the second major name to leave the group after they kicked out Konosuke Takeshita a few months ago.

The luchador was able to outsmart them at Forbidden Door, but the group has quickly gotten their payback. It is safe to say that things are far from over between both parties.
