Emma Navarro is a WTA champion once more after emerging victorious in Strasbourg.
American ace Navarro has claimed her first WTA title in 15 months, her first on clay, and the third of her career so far.
She met top seed Victoria Mboko in the final of the WTA 500 tournament, which she won 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 after two hours and 20 minutes.
Navarro also defeated Sara Bejlek, Zhang Shuai and fellow Americans Iva Jovic and Ann Li en route to the trophy.
The Strasbourg champion has now taken to social media to share her delight at the success, which has also caught the eye of world number four Coco Gauff.

Sharing images of her success on social media, Navarro posted on her Instagram: “Happy to be back out there.
“Thanks Strasbourg for a fun week.”
And many of her fellow American WTA players were quick to comment, with Gauff writing: “Congratulations Emma.”
Meanwhile, McCartney Kessler commented: “Too good! Congrats,” Ashlyn Krueger wrote: “Yay Emma,” and Peyton Stearns noted: “Congrats!”
There was also a message from French icon Caroline Garcia, who commented with the raised hands emoji, while players such as Jessica Pegula, Ben Shelton and Jovic have all liked the post.
Who is your dark horse for the Roland Garros title this year?
Emma Navarro lands much-needed confidence boost before Roland Garros
Navarro has little time to celebrate her success in Strasbourg, with her focus now immediately turning to Roland Garros.
She faces Indonesian Janice Tjen in her opening match in Paris, ahead of which she has just received another much-needed confidence boost.
Thanks to her run in Strasbourg, the American has returned to the WTA top 30, rising from 39th to 25th in the rankings.
| Top rank by year | Year-end ranking | |
| 5 | 2026 | – |
| 8 | 2025 | 15 |
| 8 | 2024 | 8 |
| 32 | 2023 | 38 |
| 127 | 2022 | 143 |
| 233 | 2021 | 233 |
| 462 | 2020 | 463 |
| 412 | 2019 | 486 |
| 565 | 2018 | 763 |
She has also just claimed her first top 10 win of the year after battling past Mboko, which is another positive for the imminent Grand Slam.
But a lengthy run in Paris still looks tricky, with Navarro taking on either Jovic or Alexandra Eala if she makes it past Tjen in round one.
Notably, she has only made three appearances at Roland Garros, where she has never made it beyond the fourth round.
That represents the worst Grand Slam historically for Navarro, who has reached the US Open semifinals and the Australian Open and Wimbledon quarterfinals.
