“I just love how she wears her emotions on her sleeve, and she is so passionate and lives it with all her heart. I love watching that.”

Who is Mary Pierce?

Pierce is a former French tennis player who won two Grand Slam titles.

Her first triumph came at the 1995 Australian Open. The French star, seeded fourth, defeated top seed Arantxa Sánchez Vicario to win the title in Melbourne.

Five years later, Pierce captured the Roland Garros title, beating Conchita Martinez in the showpiece event.
