Scotty Cameron is expanding its Phantom putter lineup with two different additions aimed at golfers seeking either enhanced maneuverability or maximum stability on the greens, the company announced today.

The new Phantom 3.2 joins the lineup as a compact mid-mallet option, while the Phantom 12 becomes the largest and most forgiving model in the family. Together, the additions give players a wider range of head shapes, alignment systems, and toe-flow characteristics within the Phantom platform.

Phantom 3.2

The Phantom 3.2 is built for golfers who like the look of a smaller mallet but want more forgiveness than a traditional blade.

Technology highlights

  • Compact mid-mallet profile with rounded shaping
  • Plumbing neck design that produces moderate toe flow
  • Full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert
  • Chain-link face milling pattern
  • Tri-Line alignment system
  • Extended T-Crown alignment feature
  • Open rear sections that help frame the golf ball at address

Scotty Cameron’s putter development team drew inspiration from several previous Cameron designs, combining elements associated with compact mallets and rounded head shapes into a single package.

The result is a model that should appeal to players transitioning from blade-style putters or those who prefer a cleaner, less bulky look behind the ball.

Phantom 12

At the other end of the spectrum, the Phantom 12 targets golfers seeking the highest level of forgiveness in the Phantom family.

Technology highlights

  • Oversized high-MOI mallet design
  • Deepest center of gravity in the Phantom lineup
  • Multi-material construction
  • Aluminum face and central body section
  • Significant perimeter weighting through stainless steel components
  • Long single alignment line
  • T-Crown visual alignment aid
  • Mid-single-bend shaft configuration with minimal toe flow

A large percentage of the head weight is concentrated low, and around the perimeter, a design approach intended to increase resistance to twisting on off-center strikes.

The larger footprint also creates a more confidence-inspiring appearance at address for players who favor oversized mallets.

Already seeing Tour Use

Both designs arrived at retail after extensive testing on professional tours.

The Phantom 3 head shape has been circulating among tour players since 2025, with several professionals putting versions of the design into competition. More recently, Ludvig Åberg has been seen using a Phantom 3.2 prototype, while Ryan Gerard has also gamed a Phantom 3-style model.

The Phantom 12 has appeared in professional competition throughout 2026 on both the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour, providing Scotty Cameron’s staff with feedback before the retail release.

Pricing, spec, and availability

Both models feature:

  • 3.5-degree loft
  • 70-degree lie angle
  • 33-, 34- and 35-inch stock lengths
  • Gray Full Contact grip

The Phantom 3.2 (right-hand) is scheduled to reach golf shops on June 25. Left-handed Phantom 3.2 models and the Phantom 12 are expected to follow on July 23.

MSRP is $499.
