Idle RPG Task Bar Hero has a small list of pets that your hero can bring along. These creatures can help you survive the toughest stages and buff your stats, so that you and your team live to see another day.
The pets range from a tiny butterfly to a large dragon, with each pet offering something different. The one you choose depends on your specific needs for your next run. Unlocking pets isn’t easy, mind you, so be ready to grind some levels in Task Bar Hero.
All Pets In Task Bar Hero
There are eight pets to choose from in Task Bar Hero, but not all of them can be unlocked for free. Purchasing the DLC pets automatically unlocks them. However, with the free pets, you have to defeat many enemies first.
The Sword, Butterfly, and Dragon are all paid DLCs, and you can purchase these from the Steam Store as a bundle for around $4.
Each pet can be unlocked by fulfilling the prerequisite of defeating 5,000 of a specific enemy type. The best places to farm for free pets are:

The best free pets to choose are Bat and Dark Spirit. The Bat offers two great buffs, which is generous for an early-stage unlockable. The EXP gain will help level up your heroes, while the increased chance of a common chest means you can eventually collect and synthesize any spare common items and gain a rare one instead. The Dark Spirit gives you a better chance of getting more boss stage chest drops, which in turn offers better items for your heroes.
The best paid pet is the Dragon, which offers three passive buffs. If you had to choose one pet, this would be it. Not only do you get more gold and EXP, but you also receive a massive 20% increased chance of getting a common chest drop.
